Spook-tober Gingerbread Short Stories

More Gingerbread adventures are on the way but two covers are here now!

So editing always takes longer then you anticipate, but given how the next two short stories came out, an October release feels really fortuitous. The first is based on the prompt ‘candle’ and came out as a really lovely ghost story. Little Ever Ostergelb is on the hunt for the ghost that vanished her friend only to run headfirst into the girl Gingerbread and her uncle, hired by her father to deal with the strangeness that’s been troubling their isolated mountain keep.

In ‘Beware the Stranglehold’ Gingerbread stumbles upon a tangled adventure in the dark forest with adventuring partners Avernam and Aquilla, who recently emerged victorious from an underground dungeon. Their prize, a book of unknown origin and immense age, as well as the fixation of a strange, malevolent beast…

So that’s what’s coming this Spook-tober. Now are you ready? Cause I love these covers!

I love how “fall” they both look. I guess I’m in pumpkin mode already (woo!). And that Oster Keep one. Mwa~! It’s so simple but it strikes me each and every time. I hope you’ll share it around Pinterest with your friends and catch up on Gingerbread’s first short story “Cross Roads Market” over on Campfire Blaze. (And let me know if you do. I’m still playing with Blaze’s features so your news would be super helpful.)

But which cover is your favorite? Are you looking forward to a good ghost story more or a strange beast hunt in the dark of night? Let me know below and until then, enjoy that autumn chill in the air!

I don't sell emails. It's wrong. And I procratinate too much to flood your inbox. The fact I get things out on time at all is totally Gingerbread's prodding me along. :)

Success! Your story is on its way!
