Teddy

14"x 17"; charcoal with chalk pastel on Strathmore paper; completed summer 2018

A piece I did for my aunt and uncle. We are a dog family, as evidenced by the small pack of miniature schnauzers that descends whenever we have family get togethers, and this is one of theirs. Teddy is a total sweetheart and squirrel fiend who loves to sniff all the corners and make sure nothing’s been moved. She’s also my own dog’s sister, which I think is cool. This was made from a photograph of Teddy sitting on the arm of the couch, probably wondering ‘what do you mean get down?’.
